Booking Details: Self-referral to your community midwife via your GP surgery. At your booking appointment you will be identified as either requiring midwife-led or consultant-led care, dependent on your risk status and your choice.
Place of Birth Choices: where we provide one to one midwifery care
Midwife led settings: Home, Bluebell (alongside) Birth Centre
Obstetric led setting: Labour Ward
The Bluebell Birth Centre and the labour ward have en-suite facilities and Birthing pools are available if this is your preferred option please discuss with the midwife.
Tours of the hospital
There are tours available every Sunday at 10am. You can book to attend one of these tours through our antenatal clinics (01617202769) or just turn up on the day and you will be welcome to join the tour. Should this day not be convenient for you please contact the Birth Centre (01616258043) and an alternative date and time can be facilitated.
Visiting times
We have an antenatal ward and a postnatal ward at North Manchester and for these areas visiting times are as follows
- Partners and siblings from 8am-8pm
- Other visitors from 10am until 8pm.
We respectfully request that the number is kept to 4 per bed at any one time.
Visiting times for the Labour ward and Bluebell Birth Centre allow for 2 people at any one time 24/7
